Protection and Favor

Isaiah 54:10

For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

Isaiah 54:14-17

In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.    Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.    Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy.   No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.

Job 10:12

Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.

Luke 1:30

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God.

Psalms 5:12 (NIV)

Surely, Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

Psalms 12:6-8 (NIV)

And the words of the Lord are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times.   You, Lord, will keep the needy safe and will protect us forever from the wicked,   who freely strut about when what is vile is honored by the human race.

Psalms 30:1

I will extol thee, O Lord; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.

Psalms 30:5-7

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.   And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.   Lord, by thy favor thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.

Psalms 41:1

By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me.

1 Samuel 25:6

And thus shall ye say to him that liveth in prosperity, Peace be both to thee, and peace be to thine house, and peace be unto all that thou hast.

1 Corinthians 13:1-13 (NIV)
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.    If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.    If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.   Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.    It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.    Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.     It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.    Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.     For we know in part and we prophesy in part,     but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.    When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.    For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.      And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Deuteronomy 28:1-13 (NIV)
If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.     All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:   You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.    The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.   Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.    You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.   The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.   The Lord will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.   The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, if you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in obedience to him.    Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you.    The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity—in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground—in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.    The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.   The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom

Hebrews 1:13 (NIV)
To which of the angels did God ever say, ‘Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet?’

Matthew 16:19 (NIV)
I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

1 Peter 2:24
“He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.”

Psalms 5:12 (NIV)
For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as with a shield.

Psalms 35:27 (NIV)
May those who delight in my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say, ‘The Lord be exalted, who delights in the well-being of His servant.’

Psalms 103:20-21 (NIV)
Praise the Lord, you his angels, you mighty ones who do His bidding, who obey His word. Praise the Lord, all His heavenly hosts, you His servants who do His will.
